NanoRock
Traditional coating surfaces face a fundamental trade-off: either glass-like hardness that is prone to cracking under stress, or polymer-like flexibility that sacrifices scratch resistance. NanoRock is rethinking how we protect the surfaces we use every day.
If you’ve ever scratched a soft coating on a foldable phone or cracked a traditional smartphone screen, you’ve likely seen this problem firsthand. Existing solutions tend to fall into two extremes: either too soft and prone to rapid wear, or too hard and vulnerable to cracking from a single drop.
NanoRock’s patented coating technology eliminates this compromise. Its unique coating architecture combines glass-like hardness, polymer-like flexibility, high optical clarity, and self-cleaning functionality in a single system.
This breakthrough enables surfaces that better resist scratches, maintain structural integrity under repeated bending, and stay cleaner for longer. The technology has already attracted early interest from major industry players, particularly in the foldable smartphone sector.
Founded by a team of experienced researchers and inventors from Queen’s University, NanoRock is focused on bringing a high-performance, commercially viable surface protection solution to market.

Baby Stop App
BabyStop is a location discovery app designed for parents of young children in the Greater Toronto Area (and expanding rapidly). It helps families find vetted, family-friendly spots such as restaurants, indoor play areas, malls, events, and more. The app filters by amenities that matter most when you’re out with a baby or toddler, such as change tables, kids’ menus, nursing rooms, and stroller accessibility. Instead of scrolling through parenting groups and hoping for the best, parents get a curated, reliable resource built around their real needs.
The app was built by parents who experienced firsthand how hard it is to plan a simple outing with a young child or multiple children. BabyStop does the research for you, so you can stop second guessing and just go make memories. It’s part local guide, part community tool, and it’s on a mission to make every outing feel a little less stressful for the families who need it most.
