Building the Workforce Infrastructure Agriculture Never Had
Every year, billions of dollars’ worth of crops are put at risk because farms cannot secure the workers they need when they need them. Growers often rely on temporary foreign workers to keep operations running, but the process is frequently slowed by visa delays, fragmented recruitment systems, complex compliance requirements, and workforce uncertainty.
The challenge is especially significant in Ontario, where more than 32,500 temporary foreign workers were employed in agriculture in 2024, representing approximately 42% of Canada’s agricultural temporary foreign workforce. Labour shortages continue to affect productivity, increase costs, and threaten food production across the sector
Yadag is addressing this challenge by building what it calls the workforce infrastructure agriculture never had, an end-to-end labour operating system purpose-built for agriculture.
Its platform helps growers source qualified workers, organize returning seasonal talent, automate compliance, streamline onboarding and training, coordinate worker housing, and manage their workforce through one integrated platform. Rather than functioning as a job board or traditional HR solution, Yadag provides the operational infrastructure growers need to reduce risk, lower costs, and keep farms running efficiently.
The platform also creates better opportunities for farm workers by improving access to safe, dignified employment and a more seamless work experience.
