Tony Orsi is a partner and a patent agent with Bereskin & Parr LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Patent, Electrical & Computer Technology and Industrial Designs practice groups. Tony’s practice focuses on patents in the electrical, biomedical, software, and mechanical fields with an emphasis on evaluating new technologies, patent searching, patent drafting and IP management strategies. Tony works with clients to help them learn about IP, develop their IP strategy and build their IP portfolio. Tony has a Bachelors and a Masters in Electrical engineering and has industry experience having worked in the areas of ASICs and digital signal processing.

Christine’s practice is divided between labour and employment law and tax litigation. In regards to her labour and employment law practice, Christine represents unionized and non-unionized employers in all aspects of labour and employment law. Christine is thoroughly versed in issues surrounding the employment relationship from hiring, discipline, compensation, performance management, workplace health and safety, human rights, through to termination. Christine also provides advice and advocacy to executives and professionals on employment matters. Christine is a member of and actively involved in various associations and boards of trade, such as the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Tax Foundation.

Peter Bocking is a co-owner of HMA The BENEFITS People. HMA is a full-service benefits brokerage in Whitby, specializing in the custom design and unique funding of employee benefit plans. Peter is passionate about helping many growing businesses attract and retain top talent through tailored benefit plans that enhance an employee’s compensation package. He acts as an advocate for his clients and keeps his finger tightly on the pulse of industry news so that he is ready to help his clients navigate any changes that may impact their benefits plan or employees.
Actively involved in the local business community, Peter sits on the boards of both the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Whitby Sunrise. He also belongs to numerous community groups and associations.
Jim has quite literally grown up in the business, continuing the legacy of insurance excellence in the Durham Region started by his father, Harold Roughley, back in 1945.
Jim spends the better part of each day serving the needs of his clients, but also keeps his finger on the pulse of the comings and goings of the team in the office. Under Jim’s leadership, the Roughley team has grown in size, but the company has never wavered its focus on providing a level of customer service and care that is unsurpassed in the community.
