On Thursday, February 28th Startup Grind held Drop Your Pitch, a virtual event at which three entrepreneurs — Stratosfy Inc, Hop In Technologies and Render Developments battled it out for best sales pitch!
The evening was an exciting mix of entertainment, thought-leadership and information! Drop Your Pitch kicked off with a fun networking session among attendees followed by insight into how to pitch for sales and to investors by the host of the event, Robert Weese with B2B Sales Connections and award-winning Angel investor and one of the Drop Your Pitch judges, Frank Auddino. The other judges on the panel included Sherry Colbourne, President and CEO of Spark Centre and Kristen Marumoto, General Manager with Spark Angel Network!
Then came the pitch battle. Each entrepreneur had five minutes to drop a solid pitch for their business and all three entrepreneurs did not disappoint!
But there could only be one winner. And that winner was…Griffin LeBlanc from Stratosfy Inc!
Griffin LeBlanc is the Sales Manager for Stratosfy — a proud Canadian company that combines the power of mobility, IoT, Machine Learning and AI to transform the way organizations operate. Stratosfy’s technology provides real-time workforce visibility to property management and commercial cleaning organizations to assure accurate service delivery and automated supervision with time-stamped audit-ready reports.
Griffin holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance from Dalhousie University and his passion for entrepreneurship and sales was a decisive factor in choosing to join the team at Stratosfy. Prior to joining Stratosfy, Griffin held various finance and sales positions at RBC, Premiere Mortgage Centre, and the Government of Nova Scotia.
Here’s what a few of the judges had to say about Griffin LeBlanc’s pitch for Stratosfy Inc:
“I had both a customer and investor hat on and what really struck me was Griffin’s poise, expertise in his space, and ability to clearly identify the Problem and the Solution via Stratosfy’s value proposition. Also, given it was a 5 minute presentation and could not go into great detail, a great sign of an effective pitch, is to leave the audience wanting to know more , and he did that MASTERFULLY!” – Frank Auddino, Angel Investor
“I really enjoyed watching Griffin’s pitch as he immediately differentiated himself by standing up. The delivery was smooth and used body language to engage his audience — something we’ve all responded to since the beginning of the dark days of COVID. I’d say that Griffin set the tone for future Startup Grind Drop Your Pitch events!” – Sherry Colbourne, Spark Centre
“What made his pitch so credible to a potential customer was the traction or success story of already landing a major client, Jani-King. It really helped solidify a need for a potential customer to at least learn more. What stood out to me most about Griffin’s sales pitch was the call to action, it had a natural buildup to it and was great way to continue the customer acquisition process. Huge congrats to Griffin at Stratosfy!” – Kristen Marumoto, General Manager, Spark Angel Network
Congratulations to Griffin Leblanc and Stratosfy Inc!
