Frank Auddino

Frank has over thirty-five years in Business Development producing top Sales. Though he’s worked with high-profile corporations such as TC Transcontinental, Rupert Murdoch News Corporation, the Jim Pattison Group of Companies, and was a partner in a Rogers Media firm, it is the start-ups and SME’s  that he revels in assisting.

He is an angel investor with 7 Angel groups and 2019 NACO award recipient — Outstanding Contributions to the Canadian Early Stage Ecosystem. Frank also spends his time as a Rotarian, VP Start-up Durham, board member with the Humane Society, and on the Durham District School Board IGNITE Learning  Foundation.

Bob has worked with startup companies in Medical tech, high tech, software, broadcasting, manufacturing and many diverse markets. He has the unique ability to help founders with technical backgrounds better communicate their value to prospective customers and investors.  A former broadcaster with a long history of entrepreneurship Bob specializes in helping you develop strong sales and presentation skills. Spark clients have been able to quickly accelerate their sales under his guidance and a few have made it onto the Dragons’ Den and secured large investment deals.

Marie Wiese is a senior marketing executive with over 25 years of experience in B2B marketing helping companies determine their marketing strategies and make the most of their marketing budgets. She is the founder of Marketing CoPilot, a digital marketing agency that has helped hundreds of companies turn their websites into lead generation and sales machines. She has been part of the Regional Innovation Centre community for over 10 years in various regions in Ontario and has assisted many startups with their inbound marketing programs.

He was co-founder of Archer Enterprise Systems and has also been awarded 5 times by Microsoft the Dynamics Solutions MVP Designation for Customer Engagement. Rick is committed to the start-up community working as a business mentor and workshop instructor at the Spark Centre and several other Ontario RIC’s.

Garry combines 30 years of sales, general management and consulting experience in executive, managerial and technical enablement for Cleantech, Advanced Technology, Government, Healthcare, Financial Services, and Manufacturing organizations. He has helped more than 20 start/scale-ups with funding, mentoring, advice and related services, with a focus on data / information / knowledge management solutions.  Notable organizations include Daisy Intelligence, Outside Intelligence, Reqwireless, Digitalembrace, Thoughtwire, Caninsoft, Dataholics, Char Technologies and Bactech Environmental.

Angelo Del Duca

Angelo Del Duca has extensive experience in the electronics industry including experience in the research and development of electronic systems and devices. Angelo is an active member across several Angel Investor groups and was awarded Angel of the Year by the York Angel Investors in 2016.  He has previously held positions as an Industrial Technology Advisor (ITA) delivering the Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) program to SMEs in the downtown Toronto area and then transitioning to a Director in Ontario leading a Team of ITAs in delivering and managing a portfolio of supported SME initiatives.

Kevin Smith is The Story Architect. Kevin helps businesses & startups unleash their story to secure customers and investors, by helping them understand what their core customer story is and then helping them get their story to market. Kevin spent 14+ years at Dell, B2B Sales, Enterprise Sales, Enterprise Marketing, and M&A GTM Strategy. His expertise include branding, marketing, SEO, content and social media marketing, presentation/pitch design, web design, lead generation, sales coaching and business development. He’s provided mentorship to startups through the RIC Centre, Humber Launch, U of T i-Cube, Startup Toronto/TorontoStarts, Startup York’s Y2 and Startup Next in addition to delivering workshops as a MaRS facilitator.

Peter is a seasoned  and successful entrepreneur with a ‘home-run’ and extensive experience in the technology industry, most recently holding positions as Director of Finance and VP of Finance. Most of his career has been focused on start-ups and in his previous financial roles, he has been responsible for financial planning/strategy, fund raising, cash planning/management, accounting, payroll, financial modeling, investor reporting, budgeting/audit and government grants/SR&ED. His finance experience is complemented with angel investing, sales/marketing, operations, business development, G&A and engineering. Peter is a U of Waterloo EE grad with an MBA (2003 U of Toronto).

Chris is an entrepreneur, and instructor who has effectively coached thousands of start-ups in a multitude of industries–he is passionate about entrepreneurship and technology. He is an expert in the Lean Start-up approach as a practitioner, and coach. Focusing on marketing, sales and pitching, Chris believes in a strong & early integration of marketing & sales functions.  Chris was a leader at BMO’s Institute for learning, and later co-founder and CEO of a successful fintech sports registration company.  A supporter of social causes, Chris has enjoyed travelling to countries such as Uganda, Guatemala, and China, avidly supporting local charities. He likes to quote H. Jackson Brown: “In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins, not by strength, but by perseverance.”
