K-Will: Building a Canadian Technology Company Around What Matters Most

Women Hugging

K-Will began with a simple but meaningful belief: The most important inheritance we leave behind is not only what we own, but who we are.

Traditional estate planning often focuses on assets, documents, and legal wishes. While these elements are essential, families can also lose something equally valuable when a loved one is no longer there, their stories, memories, values, advice, and personal guidance that help connect generations.

K-Will is building a Canadian digital legacy platform designed to help families preserve both. The platform gives users a place to organize important life information while also capturing memories, personal stories, guidance, and the details that make each person’s legacy unique.

From Idea to Early Traction
K-Will launched Version 1.0 in Canada in December 2024. Over the following year, the company generated approximately $50,000 in revenue — an important early milestone that demonstrated real customer demand while providing valuable insight into how the product could better serve families.

Earlier this year, in 2026, K-Will reached another significant milestone with the launch of K-Will 2.0, a major AI-powered evolution of the platform.

With AI guiding users step-by-step, K-Will is making what can feel like an overwhelming process simple, structured, and personal. Version 2.0 also expands K-Will beyond its original product into a broader ecosystem, connecting families with useful tools and trusted professional services.

With K-Will 2.0 now launched, the company is projecting approximately $200,000 in revenue for 2026. While K-Will remains early in its journey, this trajectory provides encouraging validation of both the market need and the company’s direction.

Building More Than a Product
As a Spark Centre Start-Up Visa Program client, K-Will’s journey is also a story about building a Canadian technology company and becoming part of Canada’s growing innovation ecosystem.

The company’s progress extends beyond technology and revenue. K-Will also welcomed its first Canadian team member, strengthening local capacity and marking an important step in building the company in Canada.

Behind the scenes, K-Will has established internal operating processes, developed a more structured sales playbook, and strengthened its go-to-market strategy.

For an early-stage company, these may seem like small steps. In reality, they represent something much bigger: persistence, experimentation, lessons learned, and the evolution from building a product to building a scalable Canadian business.

The Power of a Strong Innovation Network
As K-Will has grown, having access to a strong entrepreneurial and innovation network has been an important part of the journey. Spark Centre has been proud to help facilitate K-Will’s path to Canada through the Start-Up Visa Program and to be part of the network supporting the company as it builds and grows.

For Spark Centre, supporting entrepreneurs is about more than helping companies launch. It is about being there as founders navigate the many stages of building a business — from refining an idea and finding early customers to developing teams, strengthening strategies, and celebrating hard-earned milestones.

K-Will’s progress is exactly the kind of journey we are proud to celebrate. Every new customer, revenue milestone, product evolution, partnership, and team member represents another step forward — and another example of what can happen when entrepreneurs have the opportunity to build, learn, connect, and grow within a supportive innovation ecosystem.

We are proud to celebrate K-Will’s accomplishments and look forward to seeing where the company takes its vision next.

Looking Ahead
The next chapter for K-Will is focused on serving more families, growing recurring revenue, expanding strategic partnerships, creating more opportunities for Canadian talent, and eventually bringing K-Will to families internationally.

From launching its first product to generating revenue, embracing AI, and beginning to grow a Canadian team, K-Will is proud of the progress so far — and grateful for the Canadian innovation ecosystem that has supported the journey.

There is still much more to build.
