Spark Series Presents “Essential Noise” at Convergence Festival!

Join us at Spark Series at Convergence on September 23rd for a special screening of rock-doc ESSENTIAL NOISE by award-winning filmmaker Paul Koidis!

ESSENTIAL NOISE features a star-studded cast including Robby Kreiger of The Doors, John Kay of Steppenwolf, Alan Frew of Glass Tiger, Alan Cross, Dan Hill, Bob Ezrin, Sylvia Tyon, Jeanne Beker and more.

It tells the story of 1960s Yorkville and how the rise of hippie counterculture changed the world through music, political protest and good vibrations. It also dives into the story of Steppenwolf, the rockers behind the legendary Born to Be Wild, who have rebel roots right here in Oshawa!

But that’s not all! Following the filming, catch a live Q&A with Mars Bonfire, the Oshawa-born writer of Born to Be Wild and an exciting live performance by Slaight Music Award-winner John Fellner!
