Celebrating Success
Kevares
Founded in 2019 and incorporated in 2020, Kevares is pioneering autonomous services by combining robots, artificial intelligence, and software to deliver pay-per-use solutions for municipalities and private sector clients. Their electric mobile robots perform a variety of tasks, including inspections, lawn mowing, litter collection, and snow removal, helping clients automate repetitive or hazardous work while reallocating staff to higher-priority responsibilities.
Kevares’ innovative approach not only improves efficiency but also reduces carbon footprints and greenhouse gas emissions, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability alongside operational performance.
The company has achieved significant milestones, including raising over $1 million CAD through grants, funding programs, and pre-seed investment. With support from Spark Centre and the Elevate IP program, Kevares filed its first provisional patent in the U.S. The company also secured a multi-million-dollar business partnership with an industry partner introduced by Spark Centre and benefits from the support of multiple research and innovation centres across Ontario, including WETech Alliance, VentureLAB/YSpace, AreaX.O./Invest Ottawa, OVIN, and NSERC, with Spark Centre in Oshawa serving as their home base.
Kevares has grown its team to over 30 staff members, including part-timers, and has supported talent development, sending one employee to a fully funded MSc at Queen’s University and preparing 6–8 team members to convert to full-time positions following pre-seed completion.
By integrating robotics and AI with practical, sustainable applications, Kevares is redefining automation for municipalities and businesses, proving the transformative potential of autonomous technology in everyday operations.
